MedAssure works by copying essential data from the server to your laptop, including resident information, drug orders, login details, and other key data. This sync process runs regularly throughout the day to ensure your device always has the latest updates.

However, one common reason for MedAssure failing to sync and showing a red error is when medication instructions exceed the allowed character limit. This prevents the system from completing the sync process.

Identify and fix the issue

  1. When the error occurs, click Sync Now on the Online Green box.

  2. Click Find Problem:

    • If nothing appears, click Details.

  3. Review the results to see the error message.

  4. If the error relates to character limits:

    • Locate the resident and the relevant order.

    • Check if new instructions have been added as this can help narrow down the search.

  5. Edit the instructions to shorten them.

    • Use Add Notes for any additional details that donโ€™t fit in the main instruction field.

  6. Click Save.

  7. Log off and log back in to confirm the changes and resume syncing.
