Sometimes you’ll see missed medications listed in the daily summary report and need to confirm if they’re valid. This can be checked by comparing data across the daily summary report, dashboard, other reports, and admin history. To do this, you’ll need the resident’s name and the affected medication and to follow all the steps in this article.
Check routine timings in dashboard
To begin investigating, follow these steps to get information on the routine timings for the medication:
Click Dashboard.
Look at the routine timings for the medication.
Review missed meds in dashboard
Continue your investigation by reviewing the missed meds shown. To do this, follow these steps:
Click Missed Meds.
Use the date range dropdown at the top to select the relevant period:
Yesterday.
Previous 3 days.
Previous 7 days.
Previous 14 days.
Previous 21 days.
Previous 30 days.
The list of missed meds appear by resident name and medication.
Review the information. If there’s no data here, move on to check reports.
Check med variance report
Next, check the information provided on the med variance report. This shows a detailed list of missed or late administrations for all medications, even if missed meds have been cleared in dashboard.
To run the med variance report, follow these steps:
Click Reports.
Click Medication Compliance, then click Med Variance.
Select Start Date, End Date, and Trolleys as needed.
Leave Group Late Meds By set to Resident.
Click View Report.
Compare data across reports
Finally, once you've gathered the information from the dashboard, daily summary and med variance reports, you need to compare the data. Follow the steps to make sense of your findings:
Compare the med variance report with the daily summary report and dashboard.

Check the medication’s routine times against admin history for confirmation.
