Missed medications occur when a scheduled medication administration isn't recorded between 00:00 and 23:59 on the scheduled day. After 23:59, any unrecorded administration automatically generates a missed medication entry.
The Missed Medication dashboard helps you quickly identify these instances, investigate the reason, and record an explanation directly from the dashboard.
To manage missed medications, follow these steps:
Click Dashboard, then click Missed Meds.
Select a listed missed medication.
Click Insert.
Use the drop-down to select the Caregiver responsible for the associated medication round.
If the medication wasn't given, use the drop-down to select the Exception.
If appropriate, add a Note.
Click Save.
Confirm how Insert affects inventory.
Enter a reason for the missed medication.
Click OK to clear the missed medication from the list.
Additional options
At the top of the Missed Med Dashboard, there's a drop-down list that allows you to search for missed medications across various day ranges, such as:
Yesterday.
Previous 3 days.
Previous 7 days.
