Medications that arenโ€™t extended during a cycle changeover before the next cycle starts are automatically discontinued. This can happen for various reasons, but if you need to reactivate a discontinued medication, you can retrieve it and manually extend it.

Search for a discontinued medication

To search for a discontinued medication, follow these steps:

  1. Click Residents/Orders.

  2. Click on the affected resident, then click Orders.

  3. Click on the affected medication.

  4. Click Orders drop-down menu, then click select All Cycles.

  5. Select the Show Discontinued Orders checkbox.

  6. Locate the discontinued medication in the Discontinued Orders section.

Extend or reactivate the medication

  1. In the Discontinued Orders section, click on the affected medication.

  2. Click the arrow next to End Time once.

    • The date automatically updates to a future date based on your cycle settings.

  3. Click Save.
