Unable to administer medication in MedRound

In this article, we explain how to troubleshoot and resolve when you're unable to administer a medication during the medication round.

Sometimes you may find that youโ€™re unable to administer a medication during the MedRound. This usually happens due to restrictions set on the medication order.

To troubleshoot and resolve, follow these steps:

  1. Click the appropriate order, then click Everything.

  2. Check that all details, including start date and end date, are correct.

  3. Look for the Restrict To Role(s) option:

    • If this checkbox is ticked and a role is assigned, only users with that role can administer the medication.

  4. To allow administration:

    • Clear the Restrict To Role(s) checkbox, then click Save.

  5. You can now administer the medication in MedRound.
