Pharmacy data is essential for accurate medication administration. Normally, homes receive this data before or alongside medications for the next cycle. If data is late, missing, or incorrect, it can cause serious issues so you need to know steps to take to investigate, troubleshoot and resolve this.
Data is late or missing
To look into and resolve delayed or missing data, follow these steps:
Make sure data is received at least a few days before the next cycle.
If not, contact the pharmacy and ask why the data is delayed or missing.
If the pharmacy insists data was sent on time:
Click Residents or Trolley.
Select the medications with missing or late data.
Click Change Log.
Capture the date the data was received or note if none was received.
Use the change log as evidence and contact the pharmacy or their IT team.
Data is incorrect
β οΈ Important: Access can't amend incorrect data received at the home.
If the data received from the pharmacy is incorrect, you need to contact the pharmacy directly to discuss the issue.
