If a medication is discontinued incorrectly, the system may mark it as Expiring, highlighted with a blue tag, instead of Discontinued, highlighted with a yellow tag. This happens when the end date and time don’t align with the scheduled routine times. As a result, the medication remains active in the system and appears in MedRound.

To resolve this, follow these steps:

  1. Set the medication’s end date to the current date or the day before.

  2. Ensure the end time is set before the routine time scheduled for the medication.

    • Example: If the medication is scheduled for 07:30H daily, set the end time to 07:00H or any time before 07:30H.

  3. This triggers the system to:

    • Mark the medication as Discontinued, highlighted with a yellow tag.

    • Remove it from the active medication list.

    • Automatically remove it from the MedRound tile.
