When adding instructions for medication, it’s important to keep them short and avoid including intake timings. Timings should be entered in the dedicated time slot section, not in the instruction panel. This prevents duplication and keeps the MedRound tab clear and easy to follow.
To add medication instructions correctly, follow these steps:
Click Residents/Orders.
Click on the resident, then click Orders.
Click on the order.
In the Instructions field, type the instructions as per the pharmacy or GP prescription.
Keep instructions short.
Don't include intake timings. For example, 'Take 2 in the morning, 2 in the afternoon, and 2 at night.
Enter the timings in the Time field below the instruction panel.
This section allows you to choose the time and quantity for each dose.
