Enable and download Emergency MAR

In this article, we explain what emergency MARs are, as well as how to enable and download them.

The Emergency MAR function downloads a backup MAR sheet for all residents. Emergency MARs are downloaded to nominated devices and are available in the event of a loss of internet connection. These files are password protected and updated daily when a user logs in.

Enable Emergency MARs

To set up this functionality, follow these steps:

๐Ÿ“Œ Note: These steps need to be completed on each individual device that you would like to view the emergency MARs from.

  1. Click Admin, then click Options.

  2. Select the Download Emergency MARs to this computer checkbox.

  3. Click Save.


Set the password for Emergency MARs

All emergency MARs are password protected.

To open these documents, you need to use the password thatโ€™s set in the following location:

๐Ÿ“Œ Note: Administrators and Supervisors can change the password by following these same steps to reset it later.

  1. Click Admin Options.

  2. Click Settings.

  3. Click Care Home Settings.

  4. Click General.

  5. In the MAR password field, type the password.

  6. Click Save.


Auto-download Emergency MARs

You can enable automatic downloads of emergency MARs.

To enable this, follow these steps:

๐Ÿ“Œ Note: You must enable the download on each computer where you want emergency MARs downloaded.

  1. Click Admin, then click Settings.

  2. Click Care Home Settings.

  3. Click General, then in the emergency MARs section, select Auto-Download Emergency MARs.

  4. In the MAR Password field, type a password.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Go back to the application menu, then click Admin.

  7. Click Options, then select the Download Emergency MARs check box.

  8. Click Save.


Where to find Emergency MARs

Once youโ€™ve configured Emergency MARs, log off and log back in to activate the change. Emergency MARs are downloaded once daily.

To locate them, follow these steps:

  1. Click Help.

  2. Click View Emergency MARs.


Use Emergency MARs without internet

You can access the emergency MARs directly from your device without needing to log in to the Access Medication Management (AMM) system when the internet connection is unavailable. These can be found in the EmergencyMAR folder located within the AMM installation directory.

โš ๏ธ Important: The Emergency MAR automatically updates and saves to the device once per day when a user logs in. If the internet connection is lost at the start of the day, the available emergency MAR is from the previous day or the last time a user successfully logged in.

To locate the folder:

  1. Open the AMM application.

  2. On the login screen, click the spanner icon in the top left.

  3. Wait for the Med Management Diagnostic window to appear.

  4. Click Emergency MAR(s)... which opens the folder where PDF emergency MAR files are stored.
